cember 2011, H.E. Ambassador Virgilio A. Reyes, Jr. presented his credentials as non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of San Marino to the two Captains Regent of the Republic of San Marino, H.E. Gabriele Gatti and H.E. Matteo Fiorini, respectively.
The simple but elegant ceremony took place in the Palazzo Pubblico from 10:50 to 11:20 am. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Antonella Mularoni introduced Ambassador Reyes and his delegation composed of Mrs. Maria Felisa L. Reyes, Commercial Attache John Paul lnigo and Honorary Consul Fabio Fanfani, to the two Captains Regent.
Among the issues covered were the continuing good relations between our two Republics, the need to improve trade and other bilateral relations and the proposal to have bilateral visits on political, economic and cultural levels.
In the afternoon of the same day, Ambassador Reyes met with the Secretary of State for Industry, Handicrafts and Economic Cooperation, Hon. Marco Arzilli, San Marino Chamber of Commerce President, Mrs. Simona Michelotti and San Marino Chamber of Commerce General Manager, Mr. Massimo Ghiotti, to discuss possible ways to further improve trade, investment, tourism and cultural relations between the Philippines and San Marino. On 03 December 2011, Ambassador Reyes was also received by Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Antonella Mularoni. (Phil. Embassy Rome)
