Naghandog ng isang mainit at kahanga-hangang first solo concert sa Roma ang Filipino baritone na si Joseleo Logdat. Pinamagatang “Arias for Eros, Love songs from Italy, the Philippines and the World” ang konsyerto na inorganisa ng Philippine Embassy sa Roma noong nakarang buwan ng Pebrero. Kasama ang magaling na pianist na si Maestro Simone Maria Marziali, inilipad ni Logdat ang kanyang publiko sa isang paglalakbay sa kultura ng Italya at Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng musika, himig at pag-ibig.
Ipinakilala ni Ambassador Neal Imperial, si Logdat, residente sa Milan, bilang isang icon ng diaspora ng Pilipino sa Italya. Aniya, mula sa isang simpleng choir member sa Boac Marinduque, si Logdat ay tila isang bituin sa kasalukuyan sa larangan ng musika. Nagtapos ng Master’s degree in Vocal Performance sa Elisabeth University of Music sa Hiroshima Japan kung saan tinanghal bilang Best Recitalist noong 2024. “Logdat is a source of national pride and a high point of interaction between the Philippines and Italy”, ayon pa kay Ambassador Imperial.
Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang kamangha-manghang talento at pagmamahal sa musika at kultura, hinaplos ni Logdat ang puso ng kanyang international crowd sa isang repertoryo ng mga tanyag na awiting italian, filipno at english songs tulad ng Italian classics na tulad ng “Se” mula sa Cinema Paradiso at “Di Provenza il mar” mula sa La Traviata, hanggang sa mga kundiman ng Pilipinas tulad ng “Ugoy ng Duyan” at “Payapang Daigdig” at English classics na “Dulcinea” mula sa the Man of La Mancha and “Maria” mula West Side Story.
Hinangaan din si Maestro Marziali sa pagtugtog ng mga intermezzo mula sa mga obra ni Mascagni at Puccini.
Nagtapos ang konsyerto sa pag-awit ni Logdat ng “Non ti scordar di me” ni Ernesto de Curtis. Sinundan ang hiling na encore ng dalawa pang karagdagang awitin, “Con Te Partirò” at “Funiculì funiculà”.
