Milan, Disyembre 15, 2014 – Isang panawagan sa mga Filipino Community sa Milan at Northern Italy ang ipinalabas ni Consul General Mauro ng Konsulado sa Milan ukol sa ticket scam ng Myrcost Travel Agency.
Kaugnay dito, ay kanya ring binigyang-diin ang pakikipag-tulungan ng Konsulado sa awtoridad. Sa katunayan, tulad ng kanyang sinabi sa Ako ay Pilipino, ay kanyang inaanyayahan ang lahat ng nabiktima ng Myrcost Travel Agency na maghain ng reklamo sa Questura at huwag mag-atubuling magbigay ng kopya sa Konsulado upang lalong mapagtibay ang kaso laban sa Myrcost Travel Agency.
Inaasahan din ang pakikipag-tulutungan ng Department of Foreign Affairs sa Pilipinas sa anumang kaukulang imbestigasyon, lalo na’t kung sakaling nasa Pilipinas na ang mga salarin.
Samantala, nasasaad pa rin sa panawagan, na makaka-asa ang buong komunidad sa Milan at Northern Italy sa pagbibigay ng lahat ng updates buhat sa Konsulado ukol sa ginagawang imbestigasyon ng awtoridad.

This refers to the recent ticket scam involving Myrcost Travel Agency.
I would like to inform our Filipino Community in Milan and Northern Italy as soon as we learned of the incident, the Consulate has immediately sent an official letter to the Questura regarding the matter. We also spoke to the officials at Porta Genova Police (in charge of the case) to convey the concerns of the victims who were duped by this scam. We also offered the necessary investigation on the matter.
The Consulate has also alerted the Philippine authorities through the Department of Foreign Affairs in order to initiate the appropriate investigation as soon as possible, especially if the guilty party is already in the Philippines.
All Filipinos who were victimized by the Myrcost Travel Agency are free to come to the Consulate anytime to give their statements. These statements will be useful in the police investigation. The victims are also encouraged to file their statement with the police. This will strengthen the case against Myrcost Travel Agency.
Pinapaalala po namin na ang mga nabiktima ay dapat pumunta sa Questura at maghain ng reklamo. Bigyan po ninyo ang Konsulado ng kopya ng inyong reklamo. Magbigay din po kayo ng statement dito sa Konsulado. Ipaparating namin ito sa Questura upang lalong mapagtibay ang kaso laban sa Myrcost Travel Agency. Ad this is a police matter, the Consulate cannot interfere with the investigation being conducted bt the Italian authorities. Please be assured that the Consulate is closely coordinating with the Questura for the immediate resolution of the case.
May I reiterate that all victims of this scam can freely come to the Consulate and give their statement. We have appointed someone in the Consulate to attend to this matter.
The matter should be left in the hands of the Questura for now and allow them to conduct their investigation.
Please be assured that the Consulate will immediately update concerned of the results of the police investigation. Maraming salamat po.
