Phoenix, the world’s first and only car made from bamboo and rattan and looks like a sleek bird posed to fly.
Phoenix was showcased last April at the International Furniture Fair of Milan (Salone Internazionale del Mobile), the largest decoration trade fair in the world .
According to Cobonpue, he found the whole concept of a car made of bamboo and rattan so raw and yet so rich in terms of design and sustainability.
Consul General Lourdes Soliman Tabamo of Milan said ” It was a big hit in Milan. This is a moment of national pride for all of us.”
Cobonpue’s managing partner in the US, Christopher Reiter, told that a visitor from Mercedes Benz was amazed by the design. Two other leading car manufacturers are also interested to pursue a collaborative project with Kenneth.
