Ugnayan sa Roma on Nov 30!

Rome, Nov. 20, 2014 –  The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), will conduct the first UGNAYAN SA ROMA this coming November 30, 2014 (Sunday). 
 
The “Pag-uugnayan at Pagsasanggunian”, will introduce BaLinkBayan (micro investment opportunities in the Philippines), PESO SENSE (Financial Freedom Campaign specifically developed for overseas Filipinos and the families left behind), and JMDI (Joint Migration Development Initiative).  
 
Mayor John Bongat of Naga City and Mayor Sally Lee will come and share their experiences on how local development initiatives are carried out successfully.

The Mini-Forum will be held at the Institute of Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM) in Via Ferruccio 19, 00185 RM and will start at 8:00 am with the celebration of the Holy Mass. 
 
The invitation is open to all leaders of Church-based Communities, Hometown Associations, Gender-based Groups, Youth Clubs, Civic Organizations, Entertainment Groups, Cultural Groups, Filipino Business Groups, Senior Citizens Groups. Each group/community is expected to send two leaders or members who can re-echo the Ugnayan to their group or community.
 
CFO Commission on Filipinos Overseas, a specific arm of our Government, aims to promote and help create an empowering and development-oriented network among Filipinocommunities/organizations all over the globe and desires to introduce some of its projects designed to ensure financial security to returning migrants and transform them into protagonist in the local development initiatives in the Philippines.
