Milan, 27 February 2012 – The Filipino Community of Gesu Salvatore based in Rozzano, Milano Tre, celebrated its 20 years of existence on 19 February 2012 at the Gesu Salvatore Church.
Milano 3 is thirty minutes away by car from Central Milan and is home to a big group of Filipinos.
Consul General Lourdes S. Tabamo was the Guest of Honor while Father Emil Santos, a Salesian, of San Lorenzo Church and spiritual director of the group officiated at the Holy Mass.
During the celebration, the Consul General and Father Emil handed Certificates of Appreciation to the outgoing officers of the community in appreciation for their time, help and services given to the community.
The Filipino Community of Gesu Salvatore in Milano 3 is a sister community of San Lorenzo and San Donato Filipino Catholic communities. Together, these three big communities take turns in hosting the annual Paskong Pinoy fiesta showcasing Philippine Christmas traditions in food, decors and songs in a whole day event attended by hundreds of Filipinos in Milan.
